Why use this tool?
Aspect ratio protected
The image fits inside your limits without stretching.
No accidental enlargement
Sources smaller than the requested bounds keep their dimensions.
Format control is free
JPEG, PNG, WebP, and supported AVIF output controls are not paywalled.
Common examples
Social and marketplace limits
Fit a photo inside required maximum dimensions without stretching it.
Responsive web assets
Create a smaller pixel version for cards, thumbnails, or mobile layouts.
Upload a source above to see measured original bytes, output bytes, and percentage saved for your own image.
Privacy and limits
Optimization happens in this tab. We do not upload the selected image or send its filename to analytics.
- Upscaling is intentionally disabled because it does not add real source detail.
- AVIF output depends on browser encoding support.
- HEIC metadata is removed during local decoding.
Frequently asked questions
Does the resizer preserve aspect ratio?
Yes. Width and height are scaled proportionally to fit within the maximum values.
Will a small image be enlarged?
No. Maximum dimensions only reduce images that exceed the selected bounds.
Can I resize HEIC photos?
Yes. The primary still is decoded locally, after which you can resize and export it to a web-friendly format.
