Why is AVIF disabled in my browser?
AVIF viewing and AVIF encoding are different capabilities. This tool only proceeds when the browser returns genuine image/avif output.
Will the tool download WebP instead?
No. Unsupported AVIF encoding produces a clear error and no substitute file.
Is AVIF always smaller than WebP?
No. Results vary by image and quality. Compare the measured file size and visible quality for your use case.
