Frequently asked questions
Can this convert HEIC to WebP?
Yes. It decodes the primary HEIC still locally, then creates a WebP file. The photo is not uploaded.
Does WebP support transparency?
Yes. WebP supports transparent pixels, although the source and encoder path must also preserve them.
Why is my WebP not smaller?
Already optimized sources, very small images, or high quality settings can make the result similar in size or larger.
